The James Beard Foundation's mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor chefs and other leaders making America's food culture more delicious, diverse, and sustainable for everyone.
Scholarships aid applicants planning to study a variety of disciplines, including: culinary arts, baking and pastry, hospitality management, food studies, agriculture, sustainability and food security.
The James Beard Foundation Scholarship Program is administered with the assistance of Scholarship America of St. Peter, Minnesota, a well-respected nonprofit organization dedicated to making post-secondary education available to all. Since its founding over 50 years ago, Scholarship America has distributed $3.7 billion in financial aid to over 2.3 million students.
Meet the couple that started it all...
Jason and Sue Chin brought Beard in Baldwin to life as they envisioned a food and wine festival that would simultaneously celebrate the culinary talent of Orlando as well as assist aspiring Chefs through the James Beard Foundation National Scholars Fund.
From its first year in 2016, the Beard in Baldwin festival has been a community effort to support and celebrate the best of Orlando's culinary scene.
